A British classic with exceptional wing high-lift devices: Vickers VC10 - landing flaps 1:144 is aimed at modelers who build the airliners of the 1960s. Target kit: Roden.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set meant to keep the wing of the British VC10 from staying smooth and to show it with the high-lift devices extended as the operators used them on approach. On this type in particular it is a more interesting feature than on most of its contemporaries, because the designers had to adapt the aircraft to operating from short, high-altitude airfields. The set is meant for the Roden kit.
The Vickers VC10 was a four-engine jet airliner with its powerplants grouped in pairs at the rear of the fuselage and with a T-tail. It first flew in 1962 and came about to the order of a British operator that needed a machine able to work from African and Asian airfields with short runways and hot, thin air. Hence its exceptionally effective high-lift devices and its reputation as an aircraft that in its day could get out of almost anywhere. In military colors, converted examples served as air-to-air refueling tankers into the second decade of this century.
The interior surfaces that are exposed are worth spraying separately and joining only at the end, or you will not get a brush to them. With airline color schemes a smooth gloss surface is the basis; matte areas look out of place on an airliner. Choose the traces of service sparingly; usually it is enough to suggest streaking around the trailing edge.
Paints, filler and the base model do not come with the accessory.
