An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:24 scale from the Japanese brand Tamiya capturing the racing Nissan Skyline GT-R of the R33 generation in the iconic Calsonic livery of the Impul team from the Japanese JGTC touring car championship of 1996. The assembled model measures roughly 19.5 cm. The package contains injection-molded plastic parts, rubber tires, decals and assembly instructions.
The Skyline GT-R of the Impul team with its Calsonic sponsorship was among the fastest cars of its era. It was powered by an inline six-cylinder engine with two turbochargers and an output of around 450 horsepower, and the power went to the rear wheels through a sequential gearbox. The Calsonic combination is among the best-known liveries of Japanese circuit racing of the 1990s.
Use liquid cement for plastic for clean joints. Spray the body with an airbrush and overcoat it with a gloss clear varnish so that the sponsor decals blend into the surface. Degrease the chrome and clear parts and glue them carefully, so as not to dull the shine.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
