1:24 Lancia Delta S4 Decals for model kits Beemax and NUNU

Decals for the Lancia Delta S4, 1:24 scale

A decal sheet for a model of the rally Lancia Delta S4 in 1:24 scale. According to the name it is prepared for the kits of the brands Beemax and NUNU, that is for models whose body shape and breakdown of parts are the same. It is not a kit but an accessory to one; which markings the sheet offers is given by the manufacturer on the box and in the enclosed instructions.

The real subject

The Delta S4 was a Group B rally special of the mid-1980s. What linked it to the production Delta was above all the shape of the body: beneath it sat a space frame, all-wheel drive and an engine mounted in the middle of the car behind the crew. Group B cars are among the most sought-after subjects for modelers, and it is precisely the decals that decide which entry a model will recall, because the body stays essentially the same.

How the sheet is applied

• Cut the item out close to the printing, so that as little clear carrier film as possible is left.
• Dip it in lukewarm water, take it out after a few seconds and leave it on a paper towel until the carrier film releases by itself.
• Apply it onto a smooth gloss clear coat; on a matte surface a silvery haze will appear beneath the film.
• Move the decal into place with a soft brush, push the water out from under it and soak up the rest with a cloth.
• On the edges of the hood and on the lips of the fenders a softener will help; at the end, clear-coat the whole surface.

Who the sheet is for

For builders of rally cars and for collectors of Group B who want to build a particular entry and will not settle for the decals enclosed in the kit. Applying them is within reach of a less experienced modeler too; with large items that run across the whole side of the body it pays to work calmly and in sections.

The package holds decals only. The model, paints, clear coat and softener are not included, unless stated otherwise.
