A kit of the American oval-track racing special Chevrolet Malibu of the 1974 model year in the livery of the driver Lennie Pond, in 1:25 scale from the manufacturer AMT. The injection-molded plastic model brings the atmosphere of classic American oval-track racing of the 1970s to the modeling bench. The kit comes from the original period tooling and in retro packaging offers a roll cage, a racing seat, a detailed engine and chassis and a color decal sheet with period markings.
The Chevrolet Malibu in oval-track trim belonged among the typical machines of the American oval-track series of the 1970s. The cars were based on the production body, which was supplemented by a massive roll cage, a lightened interior and a strong engine. It is precisely this era and its colorful specials that still attract collectors and modelers today.
Join the plastic parts with thin modeling cement for plastic. Spray the body with an airbrush over a primer base and, before the decals, overcoat it with gloss varnish, so that the markings settle without silvering. Attach the chrome parts and the glazing at the end. Assemble and paint the roll cage and the interior before you close the body. Do not glue the rubber tires with plastic cement.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
