A 3D-printed resin set of replacement wheels in 1:32 scale for a model of the American piston-engined Douglas A-1 Skyraider attack aircraft in its early version. It is not a kit but a landing gear detail accessory that replaces the plastic parts from the box with a more convincing version with fine relief on the hub and the tire. The form corresponds to the wheels of the early production version.
The Skyraider was a single-engine piston attack aircraft that came about at the end of the Second World War and made its name with exceptional load capacity and endurance over the battlefield. It was used in Korea and in Vietnam, where pilots valued it for its ability to circle over a target for a long time with a large weapons load.
Wash the print resin residue off the wheels, separate them from the print supports and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the hub and the tire separately. Sand with respiratory protection.
The set contains the wheels only and is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
