A pair of AIM-26A Falcon air-to-air guided missiles in 1:32 scale as an accessory for aircraft models.
Responsibility details are not available.
The AIM-26A Falcon was an American air-to-air guided missile of the Falcon family, developed for interceptors. Against the earlier members of the family it was substantially larger and heavier and carried a nuclear warhead, because its task was to hit a large bomber even with imprecise guidance. In service it thus represents a typical weapon of the Cold War, tied to machines whose task was to stop bomber formations far short of their target.
The package holds two missiles in 1:32 scale as an accessory for a finished kit. The large scale is rewarding: on a weapon the shape of the body, the fins and the control surfaces all stand out, so it pays to give care to the surface and to clean edges. The division of the parts and the recommended procedure you will find in the manufacturer's instructions.
Cut surplus material and traces of production off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest smooth; on the slender body of a missile symmetry shows at first glance. For the joints reach for a glue matching the material; where it is not polystyrene, cyanoacrylate will serve. Before painting, wash and degrease the surface so that the paint holds. A light primer will help the final shade to read cleanly, and light picking out of the edges will give the weapon depth.
The set suits modelers who build American interceptors in 1:32 scale and want stores that match the real subject. It is an accessory for a finished model; paints and glue are not supplied, unless stated otherwise.
