A resin set of the AIM-54C Phoenix guided missile in 1:32 scale from Reskit adds external stores to a large model of an aircraft.

An add-on set in resin with the AIM-54C Phoenix air-to-air guided missile for models in 1:32 scale. This is not a kit of an aircraft but armament to be fitted to the pylons of a finished model. The casting keeps the crisp shape of the fins and the control surfaces and has no mold seam running through the body, which on plastic parts usually has to be sanded down and smoothed again.
The AIM-54 Phoenix is an American long-range air-to-air guided missile developed for the Grumman F-14 Tomcat carrier fighter. Version C is the later production form of the whole family. In its dimensions the missile was at the top of its category, which is clearly felt on a model in 1:32 scale: the store has a respectable length and calls for a firm and accurate fit.
First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water because of the mold release residue. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw and level the surface with a file, protecting your breathing while sanding. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue, because cement for plastic will not help here. Apply a primer, unify the body with a light base coat and handle the color bands with a mask and spraying. It is practical to finish and varnish the missile away from the model and fit it only at the end.
It is an accessory for a kit, not a model in its own right. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
