About product

Yahu Models 1:32 Do 335 — instrument panel

It is not a kit but a finished pre-colored photo-etched instrument panel in 1:32 scale from Yahu Models. The panel is layered from photo-etched sheets with a color print and a backing imitating the glass of the instruments, so that the dials look as if they were under glass. It is fitted straight into the cockpit in place of the plastic part and calls for no painting.

The real subject

The Dornier Do 335 Pfeil was a German heavy fighter with the unusual arrangement of two engines in tandem — one at the front with a tractor propeller and one at the rear with a pusher propeller. This solution gave it exceptional speed while keeping good handling, but it reached combat service only marginally.

Fitting and tips

Separate the panel with a sharp knife and clean it up. It is bonded with a small drop of super glue; take care that it does not run onto the print. Replace or thin down the plastic panel as needed. Polish the layered panel only lightly, so that the glazing stays glossy.

Who the set is for

  • Modelers building the Do 335 in 1:32 scale
  • Anyone interested in a realistic cockpit without painting the instruments
  • Modelers who want a quick and effective detail

This is an accessory for a cockpit, not a standalone model. Glue and the kit are not included in the package.
