This detail set from Reskit contains two British Firestreak air-to-air guided missiles in 1:32 scale, made as 3D-printed resin parts. It is NOT an aircraft model but an accessory for the armament of British Cold War jet fighters. The fine surface detail and the accurate shape markedly improve the external stores of a finished model.
Firestreak was the first British air-to-air guided missile with infrared homing, brought into service at the turn of the 1950s and 1960s. It was carried by the British supersonic fighters and carrier aircraft of the day. It is recognizable by its slender body with the forward control surfaces and the seeker head.
Wash the print resin residue off the parts and separate them carefully from the print supports, then glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Protect your airways while sanding. The missiles usually look best in metallic and light shades with the detail and the stencils discreetly picked out.
This is an accessory set of armament, not an aircraft model. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
