Hansa-Brandenburg D.I 1:32 - a resin and 3D printed kit of the Austro-Hungarian First World War fighter from the Polish manufacturer Lukgraph, intended for experienced modelers.
Responsibility details are not available.
A multimedia kit of the Austro-Hungarian single-seat fighter biplane of the First World War in 1:32 scale from the Polish manufacturer Lukgraph. It is a resin and 3D printed kit for experienced modelers that combines cast resin parts with fine 3D printed components. The struts and the wings are usually reinforced with steel or brass wire for the strength of the finished model.
The Hansa-Brandenburg D.I was a single-seat fighter famous for the unconventional star-shaped arrangement of its interplane struts, which is where the nickname star struts comes from. It entered service in 1916 and 1917 with the Austro-Hungarian air service. It was fast but demanding to fly; even so, the acute need for fighters brought it into series production.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut the casting blocks off carefully and bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. On a biplane, count on the rigging (bracing and control wires) - the struts and the landing gear have holes for threading wire. An airbrush and a quality primer for resin prove themselves.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a kit of resin and 3D printing. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
