The set will give an already built model of a combat aircraft the external stores that are characteristic of today's European machines. This is not a kit of an aircraft, but armament supplemented separately. The abbreviation BVRAAM in the name describes the category: an air-to-air missile intended for combat beyond visual range, that is at distances where the pilot sees the target only on a screen. In the large scale of 1:32 the external stores make up a conspicuous part of the silhouette, so their faithful rendering tells on the result.
Meteor is a European missile whose peculiarity is propulsion by a ramjet. Unlike an ordinary rocket motor, this works for most of the flight path, so the missile keeps its speed right into the final phase and the opponent is left far less room to evade. It is precisely this property that made it one of the most respected means of its kind. Several types of European combat aircraft carry it, and its introduction meant a marked shift in the possibilities of air combat at great distances.
First wash the components in lukewarm soapy water. Remove the casting lugs with a cut and level the edge with abrasive paper used wet, protecting your airways as you do so. Make the joints with cyanoacrylate glue applied in a small amount and provide the surface with a primer before painting.
