This set contains a pair of inboard underwing pylons for building the American F-105 Thunderchief fighter-bomber in 1:32 scale. The parts are made by modern 3D printing from modeling resin and serve as a more accurate and better detailed replacement for the parts from a plastic kit. It is not an airplane model but a standalone detail accessory.

The real subject

The Republic F-105 Thunderchief was a single-seat supersonic fighter-bomber of the American forces that left a strong mark on the fighting over Vietnam. The inboard wing pylons carried bombs and other external stores; the multi-weapon version allowed various armament fits.

Building and painting tips

First wash the print resin residue off the parts, carefully cut them from the print supports and clean them up with respiratory protection. Bond the resin with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer before painting, and ideally spray the paints with an airbrush.
