A set of unpainted plastic figures of American infantry of the Second World War in 1:32 scale. They round out dioramas and a display case with vehicles in the same scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
American infantry is among the most frequently built Second World War subjects and gives the vehicles in a display case a human scale. The figures work in a diorama as well as a standalone group set up beside a vehicle or an artillery piece.
The box holds plastic figures in 1:32 scale, supplied unpainted in a single color of the material. In this scale a person 175 cm tall comes out at just under 5.5 cm, so the face, the gear and the folds of the uniform are large enough to be worked up with an ordinary brush.
Before painting, wash the figures in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent, rinse them and let them dry thoroughly. Paint holds considerably better on a thin base coat, which should be applied so that it does not flood the relief. A proven sequence is the base shade, a dark wash into the folds and dry-brushing on the edges and the raised areas.
The set suits modelers looking for figures to accompany their 1:32 vehicles as well as those who want to try figure painting in a larger and more rewarding format. Paints, brushes and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
