An injection-molded plastic kit of the Dutch Leopard 2 A5/A6NL main battle tank in 1:35 scale, made by Hobby Boss. The set offers finely worked tracks, photo-etched parts, clear parts for the vision blocks and periscopes and decals for Dutch army vehicles; the model is built unassembled and unpainted.
The Leopard 2 is a German main battle tank that became one of the most widespread Western tanks. The Netherlands was among the first foreign operators and took hundreds of vehicles. The A5 version brought wedge-shaped armor on the front of the turret and further modifications; the A6NL form matches the Dutch specification with the longer 120 mm gun. The model allows the tank to be built in its national Dutch form.
Finish the running gear and the tracks first, then the hull and the turret. Glue the joints with thin cement for plastic and the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. After spraying the primer, choose the Dutch three-color NATO camouflage (green, brown, black); bring out the recesses with a wash, pick out the edges with a dry brush and add weathering pigments to the underside and the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
