A figure set of a Finnish tank crew in 1:35 scale. An accessory for armored vehicle models and for dioramas.
Responsibility details are not available.
An armored vehicle model without a crew looks like a museum exhibit, while a machine with a commander in the turret or with a crew around it looks as though it is about to move off. Figures also give the whole a sense of scale and steer the viewer's eye: where the figure looks, the viewer looks too. This set is listed as a Finnish tank crew in 1:35 scale, that is the most common scale for building armored vehicles.
Before you reach for the glue, try the figures dry in the place where you want to settle them. With figures in hatches the angle of the body is often adjusted, or the lower part of the figure is shortened so that the commander does not stand higher out of the turret than he should. Cut away excess material with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest. Before painting, wash and degrease the figures so that the paint holds. The instructions from the manufacturer give the suitable glue and the preparation procedure.
Paint the figures off the model and settle them only when finished; inside a turret you can no longer reach the lower part of the body. Working from the large areas of clothing down to the small details and leaving the face for last works well. Apply the paint in thin coats, otherwise the folds and the fine relief of the gear disappear.
The vehicle model, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
