An accessory for building dioramas in 1:35 scale in the form of cylinders for compressed gas. It belongs among the props that are not striking at first glance but give a scene credibility. An empty workshop floor looks like an exhibition area, whereas a couple of cylinders by the wall turn it into a workplace.
Most often at a welding post, where a pair of cylinders on a trolley or leaning against the wall belongs. It also serves well in a store, in the garage of a field repair shop, as a load on the cargo bed of a vehicle or on a pile of material behind a workshop. Cylinders both standing and lying create a difference in height in the area, which the eye welcomes after a flat floor.
Cut the excess material and the traces of manufacture off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the rest back carefully. Before painting, wash the parts and degrease them. Cyanoacrylate glue proves itself for gluing, as it holds on most modeling materials. Choose the colors so that the individual cylinders differ from one another, because in service vessels for different gases stand side by side. A scuffed place on the edge of the base, a dirty lower part and a fine touch of corrosion at the valve are all rewarding. Hoses made of thin wire or of lead foil turn a standalone cylinder into part of a working workplace.
