This accessory set refines the surroundings of the German 20 mm antiaircraft gun of the Second World War. The number two in the designation means that this is the second item of the same line: the manufacturer also offers set number one, the two complement each other and they can be used side by side at one position.
The Flak 30 and its faster-firing Flak 38 version were the most widespread light antiaircraft guns of the Wehrmacht. They served at field positions, on the beds of trucks, on halftracks and on tank chassis, and their crews always had ammunition to hand in carrying containers beside the mount. It is exactly this clutter around the gun that makes a diorama come alive: without scattered containers and ammunition at the ready a position looks sterile.
Separate the small castings from the casting blocks with a cut rather than by breaking, and sand the mold seams. Before painting, wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent and let them dry completely. Mix the brass tone of the casings more toward olive than toward gold and mute it with dark shading. The wooden and sheet metal containers deserve scuffed edges and boot prints in the dust around the mount.
The package contains only the accessory parts, and the gun itself has to be obtained separately.
