A German 9 mm submachine gun for figures and for interiors. The 1:35 German weapons - MP40/1 set from Royal Model completes the small armament of your scenes.

The German submachine gun of 1940 is one of the most recognizable shapes of the Second World War. Royal Model has released it in 1:35 scale as small armament for figures and for the interiors of armored vehicles.
The 9 mm submachine gun carried features that were innovative for its day: no wood, just pressed sheet and plastic, a folding shoulder stock and a lug under the barrel with which the weapon was rested against the edge of an embrasure or the side of a hull. The magazine for thirty-two rounds was fitted from below and soldiers often used it as a grip, which was incidentally a mistake, because pressure on the magazine caused feeding failures and the regulations therefore advised holding the weapon by its housing. It was issued mainly to squad leaders, paratroopers and vehicle crews, who valued its short shape and the ability to fold the stock.
A submachine gun seldom lies on its own. Hang it on a figure over the shoulder on a strap made of foil, lay it on the seat of a half-track or lean it against a crate beside a sleeping soldier. Paint the metal surfaces in a very dark gray and go over the edges with a soft pencil or graphite. The plastic stock is brown-black, not black.
The weapons are without a surface finish; the package does not contain paints or straps.
