The set contains a set of resin German steel helmets in 1:35 scale from the Italian maker Royal Model. It is an accessory, not a stand-alone model, and it serves to bring figures and scenes to life: the helmets can be used as part of the kit worn on the head, hung on a belt or a pouch, laid in a trench or on a vehicle.
Finely cast helmets replace the simplified parts of figures from the box and add small but striking accents to a diorama. Thanks to the crisp casting, the shape of the shell and the rim stand out, so after painting they look believable even at close range.
Separate the parts carefully from the casting blocks, wash them free of the remains of the mold release agent and clean them up with a fine file. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer before painting; a combination of a flat base color, a dark wash into the recesses and a fine drybrush will bring out the structure and the wear.
This is a resin accessory for more advanced modelers. Figures, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
