A resin replacement part in 1:35 scale: the front radiator grille for the American GMC CCKW truck. The casting captures the characteristic ribbing of the grille in pattern 1 with crisp edges of the kind a plastic part often cannot render faithfully. It is a partial accessory for the matching plastic model, not a whole vehicle model.
The GMC CCKW is an American 6x6 off-road truck of 2.5 ton payload, one of the most widespread Allied transport vehicles of the Second World War, nicknamed the Jimmy. It served in countless modifications — flatbed, tanker, workshop and a chassis under special bodies — and its front grille is one of its striking recognition features. Different production batches differed in the execution of the grille.
Wash the mold release agent off the part and separate it from the casting block carefully; protect your airways when sanding resin. It is glued with cyanoacrylate. Spray the grille in the base color of the vehicle, pick out the recesses between the ribs with a dark wash and the edges with a dry brush; at the end add dust and mud with pigments for realistic weathering.
The part is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
