A resin set of replacement heads of Italian soldiers from the period of the Second World War from the Italian maker Royal Model, the second series. It is NOT a figure but an accessory intended for improving existing figures in 1:35 scale. The castings have crisp facial features and period-faithful headgear.
Swapping the simplified head of a plastic figure for a finely cast resin head raises the realism of the figure markedly. The second set widens the choice of expressions and types of headgear, so Italian infantry and crews alike can be brought to life and the sameness of mass-produced figures in dioramas and vignettes can be broken up.
Separate the heads from the casting blocks, clean the neck up and fit them to the body of the figure. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). For painting the skin a filler primer is recommended, followed by layering the flesh shades in acrylic, with oil work on top if you like. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and figures are not included in the package.
