A colored Quinta cockpit interior for the Yak-50 in 1:48 scale, printed with three-dimensional technology. The elements are soaked briefly in lukewarm water and slid off the backing paper.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set replaces the cockpit of the kit with a finished colored interior. The elements are printed three-dimensionally, so they have real modeled depth: the instruments are recessed, the controls stand out and the color distinction comes finished from the maker. That does away with the most time-consuming part of building a cockpit, the painting of small areas by hand and the drawing in of dials.
The elements are carried on sheets of backing decal paper and have no adhesive layer of their own. Cut the part out, dip it in lukewarm water for roughly 15 seconds and slide it off the paper into place. It holds reliably on a gloss varnish, that is on a layer of the Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22 kind; in a broken-up corner a drop of super glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution, as the chemicals would attack the printed resin. Clean and degrease the areas under the elements beforehand and work with fine-tipped tweezers.
Plan the cockpit out in advance, because once the fuselage is closed you can no longer reach it. Paint the kit parts first, coat them with a gloss varnish and let them dry thoroughly, and only then fit the elements. Adjust the position with a brush while the base is still damp and soak the surplus water up with the corner of a paper towel. Then press the element down, working from the center to the edges, so that no air is left under it.
The set will be valued by modelers who want the cockpit of a single-seat aerobatic aircraft legible even under a closed canopy while avoiding the painting of instruments. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
