The real subject

The M-ATV is an American wheeled armored vehicle of the MRAP category, built with an emphasis on resistance to mines and improvised devices and at the same time on mobility off-road. The cab is enclosed and angular, but through the large windows and the open doors it is easy to see inside, so the interior of a model is not hidden and is worth finishing properly.

What the set contains

Colored three-dimensional interior elements prepared for the kit from Rye Field Model in 1:35 scale. The graphics are layered and slightly raised, so the dials, control panels, lettering and displays stand above the surrounding surface and the interior gains depth. It does away with drawing small instruments with a brush, which in this scale gives every inaccuracy away.

Application

First spray the inside of the vehicle with the base color and let it dry completely; the surface under the elements has to be smooth, clean and degreased. Before applying them, check the manufacturer's instructions to see whether the elements are self-adhesive. The method of application differs between the individual ranges and the set does not settle it in its designation. Separate the individual pieces with a sharp blade, transfer them with tweezers and press them down with a soft tool so that they sit into the corners and over the edges of the panels.

Who it is for

For the modeler building a vehicle with the doors or hatches open who wants legible instruments inside. The work takes about an hour, even a less experienced builder will manage it, and what it mainly needs is fine tweezers and good lighting. The set does not contain the kit, paints or glue, unless stated otherwise.
