This is not a kit of the helicopter but an accessory for experienced modelers that replaces the wheels from the plastic kit with more accurate castings carrying a fine tire tread and detailed hubs. The set is intended for models of the Mi-24 attack helicopter and its export Mi-35 version.
The Mil Mi-24, NATO reporting name Hind, is a heavy attack helicopter that can carry a squad of troops as well as its offensive armament. Export and upgraded machines carry the Mi-35 designation. Its hallmarks are the tandem cockpits and heavy armor protection.
First wash the parts to remove any mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off carefully and clean them up with respiratory protection. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer before painting; the tires and hubs stand out once picked out with a wash and dust pigments.
The accessory is supplied as a resin set, unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
