A diorama structure of an older brick building in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of equipment but an architectural backdrop for a scene. The set is made up of accurately cast plaster parts (in the newer editions a harder ceramic variant) with a faithful brick texture, completed by laser-cut elements. The building is rewarding for city and village scenes of the Second World War and of later eras alike.
A brick building makes a firm landmark in a diorama, as well as cover and a background for vehicles and figures. Brick masonry, flaking plaster and window openings offer rich possibilities for weathering and color transitions.
Plaster is easy to cut, drill and sand, and thanks to its absorbency it takes acrylic paints, washes and pigments excellently. You will bring the brick texture out with glazes and a dry brush. You will glue the parts with PVA or cyanoacrylate glue. The castings are brittle, so handle them carefully; cracks can be filled. Prime the surface before painting.
The structure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
