The casting is in polyurethane resin, in 1:35 scale, and it is supplied unassembled and unpainted, including the relevant accessories.
1:35 scale is the domain of military vehicles, but that is exactly why a civilian figure stands out so much in a diorama. A diver opens up scenes you otherwise have nothing to populate: a landing stage, a jetty, a boat, a lake shore, a flooded wreck or a coastal scene with recreation beside military vehicles. It works as a standalone display miniature too. The fins and the apparatus on his back give the figure an unmistakable silhouette that you will not find in the ordinary range of military figures.
First wash the casting in lukewarm water with detergent, so that a surface free of mold release takes the paint. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw, not with nippers, and sand the faces wet with respiratory protection. Super glue, cyanoacrylate, holds the joints. Neoprene or rubber is painted as a dark but not black surface with pronounced highlights on the stretched areas. Leave the metal parts at a different degree of gloss and finish the wet look at the end with a clear gloss varnish.
