This is a photo-etched brass detail set from the Polish brand Aber in 1:35 scale. It is not a kit but a set of side skirts (Schürzen) together with their hangers, with which you replace the thicker plastic parts on a model of the Panther Ausf. G tank or the Jagdpanther tank destroyer. The metal skirts have a real sheet thickness and bending, denting and missing pieces can be rendered faithfully on them.
The side skirts protected the running gear and the lower part of the hull against shaped-charge ammunition and anti-tank rifles. In practice they were often bent, lost or left hanging crooked, and exactly such realistic states can be rendered far better in thin metal than in plastic. The set usually also contains the hanging rails and hooks.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife, form them on a bending tool or along a razor blade and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); they can also be soldered. For a vehicle from the front line, bend the skirts slightly and leave some out. Degrease the metal before painting and apply a primer.
This is an accessory for detailing, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
