The modern pole 1:35 Solar powered street light with a solar panel is made up of resin castings complemented by photo-etched metal parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
A pole with a photovoltaic panel and a floodlight is an accessory for scenes of the last two decades. The resin castings are complemented by photo-etched metal parts for the thin parts of the structure, because on the panel and its frame a casting would come out disproportionately thick at this scale. The set is made by the Italian brand Royal Model.
Standalone solar lights have spread everywhere there is enough sun and the distribution grid is unreliable: along roads in the Middle East and in North Africa, at checkpoints, in parking lots and in the compounds of bases. For modelers they are rewarding exactly because they date a scene unambiguously to the present; in backdrops with older lighting they would look alien.
Degrease the metal parts first and spray a primer on both sides, or the paint will not hold on the smooth surface. Make the bends over a sharp edge, ideally in a bending tool. Cyanoacrylate glue will manage joining metal to resin; PVA types fail here. Finish the panel in gloss and the body of the pole, on the other hand, matte and dusty, so that the contrast between glass and structure stands out. Tilt the panel to the south, as is done in reality too.
The package consists of a construction kit for the light; it does not include a base, paints or glue.
