A resin set of replacement heads of American tank crews of the Second World War period from the Italian maker Royal Model. It is NOT a figure or a model but an accessory intended to upgrade existing figures in 1:35 scale. The castings stand out for the crisp features of the faces and faithful headgear.
By swapping a simplified head from a plastic figure for a finely cast resin head, the realism of the result rises markedly. The set lets you bring a crew to life, give the figures individual expressions and break the sameness of production figures. It suits figures of tank crewmen, filling open turrets and diorama scenes.
Separate the heads from the casting blocks, clean up the neck section and dry-fit them to the body of the figure. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). For painting skin, a filling primer and then acrylic layering of flesh tones, or oil work over them, is advisable. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and figures are not included in the package.
