The Jagdpanther was a German tank destroyer built on the chassis of the Panther. Its low casemate superstructure with sloped walls carried an 88 mm gun with a barrel 71 calibers long, that is a weapon that could deal with its opponents at long range. The designation Ausf.G2 belongs to the late production form, which differed from earlier machines in partial changes to the hull and to the mounting of the gun.
These are replacement tracks assembled from individual links. Compared with a track cast in one piece they have two advantages: the links have a crisper shape including the inner face, which on a finished model you see in the space between the wheels, and the assembled track stays movable, so it can be laid on the running gear accurately. The number of links and the list of kits the tracks fit are given in the instructions from the manufacturer.
Clean the links of excess material and traces of manufacture and join them in shorter runs, not the whole track at once. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts, which the instructions from the manufacturer state, and dose it so that it does not run into the joint between the links, otherwise the track will set solid. Fit a finished run onto the wheels and refine its shape while the glue is still soft. Wash and degrease the tracks before painting. They are more comfortable to paint separately, off the model, and are fitted only once dry.
The tracks will be appreciated by modelers who care about the running gear and do not mind working link by link. The kit, paints, glue and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
