1:35 WWI Austro-Hungarian weapon and equipment

Austro-Hungarian weapons and equipment of the First World War 1:35 - ICM

A plastic accessory set of weapons and equipment of Austro-Hungarian infantry of the First World War period in 1:35 scale from the ICM firm. The set brings rifles, machine guns, pistols, bayonets, grenades, helmets and other items of equipment of the period. It is not a model of a vehicle - it is an accessory with which you arm and bring to life figures and dioramas from the battlefields of the Great War.

What the set is for

• it adds weapons and equipment of the period to figures of Austro-Hungarian infantry
• it brings trench and rear-area dioramas of the First World War to life
• it serves as stowed equipment on bases and in interiors
• it raises the historical fidelity of scenes from 1914 to 1918

Building and painting tips

Separate the fine parts carefully and clean them up, align the joints and glue them with a thin modeling cement. Paint the wooden stocks in shades of brown, the metal parts in a dark steel color and the leather straps and pouches in a natural brown. A wash into the recesses and dry-brushing on the edges will pull the detail out; a light dust will give the equipment a worn, used look.

Who the set is for

For modelers of figures and dioramas of the First World War and for anyone interested in the equipment of the Austro-Hungarian army in 1:35 scale.

This is an add-on set, not a standalone model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue and paints are not included in the package.
