An injection-molded plastic kit of a modern light surface ship in 1:350 scale from Bronco. The model is molded in light gray plastic and comes with a separate superstructure, a display stand and a photo-etched fret for fine details. The set lets you build either the Bengbu or the Shangrao of the East Sea Fleet. Because of a number of very small parts it is intended rather for more experienced modelers.
The Type 056 is a class of modern stealth corvettes of the PLA Navy, developed to replace older light surface units. The hull has shaped, sloping surfaces that reduce its radar signature. The ship carries a main gun, anti-ship and anti-aircraft missiles and torpedoes, and at the stern it has a landing deck for a helicopter. It is a numerous class from the second decade of the twenty-first century.
Start by laying out the small parts of the superstructure and the antennas. Bend the photo-etched railings precisely and glue them with super glue. Spray the hull and the superstructure with an airbrush and pick out the fine panel lines with a thin wash. The model can be built as a full hull or set on the stand supplied.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
