Responsibility details are not available.
Injection-molded plastic kit of a British Flower class escort corvette in 1:350 scale. The model captures a small but crucial escort ship of the Battle of the Atlantic and is built as a full-hull version with a stand. The parts are in gray plastic and the box contains decals. The hull has finely engraved plating. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Flower class corvettes were small, rugged escort ships built in large numbers during the Second World War to protect Allied convoys against submarines. HMS Zinnia entered service in 1941 and her combat career was short. With their modest armament and their depth charges these ships formed the backbone of the escort service in the Atlantic.
The model rewards careful fitting of the fine parts of the railings, the boats and the depth charges. The hull can be built complete on the stand. We recommend liquid cement for plastic, a primer and an airbrush for the period naval camouflage; the engraved plating can be picked out with a thin wash. Add the rigging with fine thread as the drawings show.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
