Injection-molded plastic kit of the American battleship USS Iowa BB-61 from Hobby Boss. The model in 1:350 scale offers a hull produced by slide-mold tooling with a finely engraved deck, photo-etched parts, metal gun barrels and an anchor chain, the ship's aircraft and a display stand with a nameplate. The result is an eye-catching display model of a large battleship.
USS Iowa BB-61 was the lead ship of the class of American fast battleships that carries her name. She was distinguished by a main armament of nine 406 mm guns in three turrets, a high speed and a massive silhouette. The ship served in the Second World War and in later periods as well, and she is one of the best-known battleships in history.
Decide whether you are building the full hull or the waterline version. Glue the decks and the superstructures precisely and fit the photo-etched railings only after painting. An airbrush works well on large ships, together with restrained emphasis on the panels and light weathering; the wooden deck comes alive with suitable shades and glazes. Place the model on the stand supplied.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
