This is a resin 3D-printed detail set, not a standalone aircraft model. The package contains one A/A42R-1 underwing pod, with which fuel was passed between aircraft in flight in reality (the buddy-buddy method). The part is meant for adding to a finished kit and raises the fidelity of the stores.
The A/A42R-1 is an American refueling pod with a reel and a hose ending in a drogue. It is carried by an aircraft in the role of a flying tanker, which passes fuel to another machine. The pod appeared on carrier-borne as well as land-based types, among others on the F/A-18, S-3, MQ-25, A-6, EA-6, A-7 and A-4.
Wash the parts free of print resin residue, carefully cut off the print supports and lightly sand the cleaned-up areas with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Before spraying we recommend a primer, then a shade according to the particular service and a fine accentuation of the panels.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and without glue; paints and the target model are not included in the package.
