A set of four 3D-printed resin AIM-9J Sidewinder missiles in 1:48 scale. It is an accessory for underwing armament, not an aircraft kit. Use it to replace the coarser plastic missiles with more faithful parts with crisp edges on the control surfaces and a fine surface finish.
The AIM-9J was the US Air Force version of the Sidewinder from the early 1970s, with reworked, shorter forward fins and updated electronics for shorter-range engagements. It was carried by machines such as the F-4 Phantom II, the F-5, the A-7 Corsair II and the F-104. The shortened forward control surfaces are exactly what marks it out.
Wash the print resin residue off the parts, cut them away from the print supports and clean them up. They are glued with cyanoacrylate. We recommend a fine base coat and an airbrush; the body is usually light with the seeker head picked out in color.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
