A three-dimensionally printed fuselage section of the B-58 Hustler bomber in 1:48 scale, intended for use with the cockpit set from the same manufacturer.
Responsibility details are not available.
The B-58 Hustler was an American supersonic bomber from the turn of the fifties and sixties, recognizable at first glance by its slender fuselage and delta wing. The crew sat one behind another in separate cockpits, which makes the forward part of the fuselage a demanding place in shape, one where every inaccuracy shows.
A three-dimensionally printed section of the fuselage in 1:48 scale, shaped so that the cockpit set can be seated in it. The printing holds sharp edges and fine surface transitions, which on a part of this shape divide differently than on a part from a kit.
On printed parts there are no casting blocks but print supports. Nip them off a little away from the surface and sand the marks left by them down with fine paper, so that no bumps remain. Remove the remains of print resin by washing and degrease the part before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold. The material is not polystyrene, so cement for plastic does not work; join it with super glue. Try the junction with the fuselage from the kit dry before you glue anything, and fill any gap with filler.
Only the fuselage section described is supplied. The kit, the cockpit set, the paints and the glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
