An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Bf 109G-14 fighter in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Eduard in the ProfiPACK edition. The box combines good plastic parts with colored photo-etched parts, canopy masks and a decal sheet with five marking options. The model offers a choice of several canopy types and tail parts.
The Bf 109G-14 was one of the late production versions of the legendary German fighter of the Second World War. It arose from an effort to unify the production standard of the Gustav family, it was powered by a strong Daimler-Benz engine and it usually gave a better view from a raised canopy. It was used at the end of the war on a number of fronts.
Bond the plastic with a liquid cement for polystyrene, fill the seams and sand them back. Fit the colored photo-etched cockpit parts after the interior has been sprayed; the masks included speed up painting the canopy frames. For the varied late-war camouflage schemes an airbrush, a primer and a gloss varnish under the decals are all useful.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
