British fighter seat belts 1:48 – Quinta Studio

This set of 3D decals reproduces the pilot seat belts in the version typical of British fighters of the middle of the Second World War. The belts are printed on flexible film with a raised texture and color rendering and they are completed by separate metal buckles for a faithful metal look of the attachment. The set is marked as universal and suits most fighters in this scale.

Use

The individual belts are released from the backing paper with a brief dip in lukewarm water and slid onto the seat or the frame, where they hold on a gloss-painted surface. The flexible film allows shaping over edges and into folds, so the belt looks naturally slack. The metal buckles are fixed with cyanoacrylate glue. It is worth degreasing the surface before applying; do not use a decal softener, as it attacks the printed resin.
