The resin detail set DH Chipmunk T.10 Main Wheels in 1:48 scale replaces the plastic main wheels from the box with more accurate castings with a fine tire pattern and hub detail. The set comes from the Czech manufacturer CMK and is intended for models of the de Havilland Chipmunk T.10 trainer in 1:48 scale.
Well made wheels are among the most closely watched details of the landing gear; resin castings have a crisper rendering than production plastic. It is an accessory, not an aircraft kit in its own right.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Use a primer and a light wash to bring out the tread and the hub.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
