This is NOT a model but a diorama accessory. The set from Plusmodel in 1:48 scale represents a period wire obstacle of the gooseberry type from the Second World War, made up of a barbed wire entanglement on a metal frame. In the Plusmodel range it is a defensive entanglement for enriching battlefields, approach roads and perimeters. The base is photo-etched and has to be shaped, assembled and painted.
Shape the photo-etched parts carefully according to the instructions and fix the joints with CA glue. Treat the metal with a primer first, then paint it and bring it out with rust, washes and pigments for a faithful, weather-beaten look.
For diorama builders who want to give a scene a defensive element and some dynamism. Working with photo-etch assumes a steady hand and patience.
