A cockpit for the Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIc in 1:48 gives the British cannon fighter a more faithful interior. You have to own the plastic kit of the aircraft yourself.
Responsibility details are not available.
The inside of a Hurricane looks different from most fighters of the period – the cockpit is built into a truss structure of steel tubes, and that structure is clearly visible through an open canopy. This product renders the interior in a form that captures that structure far better than smooth plastic walls. It is not a model of the aircraft but equipment for its cockpit.
The Mk.IIc version carried four 20mm cannon in the wing and became the most widespread cannon variant of the type. It flew as a night fighter, as an intruder over occupied Europe and over North Africa and the Far East. The heavier armament made it a machine that held its place even once it was no longer a match for fighters in daylight combat.
British cockpits keep to a dark green interior color, which takes a black wash and a light drybrush well. The instrument panel deserves the most attention – fill the dials with a drop of gloss varnish to give the impression of glass. Bring out the tube structure with a gentle highlight so that it does not vanish in the gloom of the cockpit.
The contents are this item alone, without a finish and without a kit. Material for completing the build is sold separately.
