This set is NOT an aircraft model but a resin detail accessory intended for Junkers Ju-88 models in 1:48 scale. The cast wheels correspond to the type 1 configuration and replace the plastic parts with more faithful tires and cleanly rendered hubs. The set is intended for more experienced modelers.
The Ju-88 stands on sturdy landing gear with large wheels that are prominent on a finished model. Resin tires have a realistic tread and crisper hub detail than injection-molded plastic; the type 1 configuration corresponds to a particular wheel pattern, so choose according to the subject you are building. Some castings have a suggested flat spot where the wheel meets the ground. The parts are designed as a direct replacement.
Wash the wheels free of mold release agent, separate them from the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); sand while protecting your airways. Choose a dark gray shade for the tires, separate the hubs with a mask or a brush and add fine dust weathering.
This is an accessory set, not a complete kit. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
