About product

Quinta Studio La-5FN vacuum-formed clear canopy 1:48

This is an aftermarket accessory, not an airplane model. It consists of a vacuum-formed (vacuform) clear cockpit canopy for a model of the Lavochkin La-5FN fighter in 1:48 scale. The replacement part offers thinner walls and better clarity than the canopy from the box and lets you display the cockpit open for a better view of the interior.

Contents and use

  • A vacuum-formed clear canopy as a replacement for the kit part.
  • The part is carefully cut from the backing film and the edges are cleaned up.
  • It is glued with glue for clear parts or with cyanoacrylate glue so that it does not fog.
  • The canopy framing is masked and sprayed, ideally with an airbrush.

Who it is for

  • For modelers building the La-5FN in 1:48 scale who want a thinner and cleaner canopy.
  • For those planning an open cockpit and a better view of the interior.
  • For more experienced modelers used to working with vacuum-formed parts.

An accessory, not a complete model. Check that it suits your particular kit against the scale and the version. Glue and paints are not included in the package.

FAQ

No, it is a separate accessory, a clear canopy that replaces the part from the La-5FN kit in 1:48 scale.

A vacuum-formed canopy is usually thinner and clearer, so the finished model looks finer and more faithful.

It is carefully cut from the film, cleaned up and glued with glue for clear parts or with cyanoacrylate glue so that it does not fog.
