The set replaces the plastic wheels from the box with precisely cast resin parts with finely executed tire tread and a faithful shape of the hubs. It is not an aircraft model in its own right but an aftermarket accessory with which you raise the landing gear to the level of a premium build.
The Lockheed Martin F-22A Raptor is an American twin-engine fifth generation fighter with features of low radar observability and the ability to supercruise. The sturdy nose and main landing gear carry a heavy aircraft, so faithfully executed wheels with a realistic contact with the surface markedly raise the impression of weight the model gives.
First wash the remains of the mold release agent off the parts, carefully cut the casting blocks away and sand the faces with respiratory protection. Bond the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The wheels hold paint well after a quality primer has been sprayed on; the tire tread comes into its own after fine highlighting and a light patina of dust.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. It is not a model in its own right but a detail set for completing a kit; glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
