This set brings precisely cast resin replacements for the wheels of models of the carrier version of the F-35C fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but a detail accessory that replaces the wheels from the original kit. The parts capture the profile of the tires with a realistic tread and the structure of the hubs faithfully, and those are areas that often look flat on injected parts.
First wash the mold release residue off the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water. Cut the casting blocks off with a sharp knife or a saw and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer before painting; the tires come out well with a dark wash and a dry brush.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
