Four resin LRF-4 rocket launchers in 1:48 scale as external stores for models of aircraft and helicopters.
Responsibility details are not available.
A rocket launcher is a carried block from which unguided rockets are fired. Against guided weapons it is a simple and cheap means, but it is used in salvoes and aims at an area, not at a single point; it therefore suits soft ground targets. The blocks are carried under the wing of an aircraft or on the stub wings of a helicopter, usually in twos or fours, so that the balance of the machine is preserved.
Four rocket launchers with the designation LRF-4 in 1:48 scale in resin. They serve as a replacement or a supplement for the external stores of kits in which this element is worked out only coarsely. The breakdown of parts, the assembly procedure and the way of mounting are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The parts are not of polystyrene, so glue them with cyanoacrylate glue; solvent cement has no effect on them. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder flat; sand wet rather than dry and with your airways protected. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, otherwise the base coat will not hold. Before you glue a block on for good, try it in the mounting dry and adjust the mating surface with a file as needed. Hang the blocks symmetrically and in one plane; an asymmetrical load shows at first glance on a finished model.
For builders who want the stores worked out as carefully as the machine itself, and for those who are adding armament to an older kit. The model, pylons, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
