The injection-molded plastic kit MiG-17PF Fresco D in 1:48 scale from Hobby Boss.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet MiG-17PF interceptor in 1:48 scale from Hobby Boss. It is a compact model with finely engraved surfaces, clear plastic for the canopy glazing and decals for several marking options. The PF version, Fresco D in the NATO reporting system, was fitted with radar, which the kit captures in the characteristic shape of the intake with its radar housing.
The MiG-17 was a Soviet subsonic jet fighter that followed on from the famous MiG-15 and brought a reworked, more sharply swept wing. The MiG-17PF version was an all-weather interceptor fitted with an onboard radar for night and poor weather conditions, which sets it apart from the day variants. The aircraft spread to many countries in versions with and without radar and was also built under license outside the Soviet Union.
Use liquid cement for plastic, and glue the clear parts with cyanoacrylate or a special canopy glue. Finish and paint the cockpit before you close the fuselage up. Lay down a primer before painting and apply the paints with an airbrush. On natural metal schemes, metalizer paints laid on a smooth, polished surface work well; paint the radar housing at the front of the intake to match the subject.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
