A set of two 3D-printed pilot figures in 1:48 scale from Magic Factory. It is not an airplane kit but an accessory meant to bring models of the light Douglas A-4M Skyhawk attack aircraft to life. The set holds one seated and one standing figure, which are designed to fit exactly into the cockpit and beside the boarding ladder of a model.
The seated pilot has the helmet visor lowered and the oxygen mask on, and his hands rest naturally on the control stick and the throttle. The folds of the flight suit, the helmet and the pressure suit are rendered in detail. The high resolution of the 3D printing captures the fine detail of the gear.
Clean the figures of support residue and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). We recommend a primer and painting with a brush; on flight suits, shades with fine shading and dry brushing to bring out the folds prove themselves. Set the seated figure into a fitted-out cockpit and the standing one beside the ladder or into the scene.
This is an add-on set of figures, not a model of the aircraft. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
