The more demanding configuration of the resin interior of the British Jaguar in 1:48 scale. More separate parts, three-dimensional relief on the controls and a well worked-out space behind the seat. For the Airfix model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Jaguar's attack work took place a few tens of meters above the ground, where the pilot looks out and in by turns, second by second. The cockpit matched that: a clear panel with nothing superfluous, a large sight in the middle and two side consoles with controls that can be found by touch. The power came from a pair of Adour engines with afterburners, mounted at the rear so close together that from a distance their nozzles look like one. With them the British machines could manage a full weapons load, although at the cost of a longer takeoff run than rivals with more powerful units.
Compared with the basic range, this set is built on a larger number of separate castings. The instrument panel has molded dials and bezels, the controls on the consoles are individual, and the seat comes in several pieces including the headrest and the firing handle. A rear bulkhead and the roof of the space under the canopy are added as well, that is, the places that are most visible with the cockpit open.
Anyone who wants to leave the cockpit open and show what is inside will reach for this variant; with the canopy closed, the difference from the simpler edition is largely lost. The castings are rinsed before painting and left to dry thoroughly.
